Living in the Globebus Performance

Living

The interior feels spacious and inviting. The high-quality insulation and standard 6,000 W diesel heater keep things warm and cosy – even in freezing conditions.

    The warm wood decor, combined with anthracite felt-look accents, brings a touch of modern comfort to the living room. The streamlined overhead locker doors – without visible handles – add to the contemporary, uncluttered aesthetic.

    The T 16 is just 625 cm long – but still offers an impressive amount of space and freedom of movement. The cleverly arranged mid-height fridge enhances the sense of openness by allowing an unobstructed line of sight through to the bedroom.

    To set the mood in the evening, the Light Moments ambient lighting system creates a cosy and inviting atmosphere using a blend of direct and indirect light sources (option).

  • Create extra space in a jiffy

    The table features a practical swivel section which, when extended, allows the passenger seat to “take its place” at the table. While on the move, the additional tabletop slides away neatly beneath the main table.

    The optional 32-inch smart TV can be extended and swivelled using a telescopic mount.

    As a true smart TV, it offers a host of extra features – from recording films onto a USB stick to mirroring your smartphone screen on the TV.

Bathroom

    The bathroom in the Globebus Performance features a clever swivel wall: when rotated, it transforms the bathroom into a fully enclosed, plastic-lined shower cubicle. Everything else you need is there, too: a large sink, plenty of storage space and a generously sized mirror – all complemented by pleasant ambient lighting.

    Converting the space into a shower cubicle is as simple as swivelling the rear wall.

    The large bathroom cabinet offers plenty of storage space. There are even two tooth brush holders, already installed.

    By simply swivelling the rear wall, the bathroom transforms into a fully enclosed, plastic-lined shower cubicle with its own shower fitting and plenty of elbow room.

  • Waterless toilet with sealed sanitary bags (option)

    A waterless Clesana toilet can be factory-fitted upon request. Disposal of the sealed collection bags is clean, convenient, germ-free and completely odourless. This system uses no water or chemical additives.

  • Everything in view

    The full-length mirror on the outside of the bathroom wall makes the space feel larger and is perfect for doing your hair or a quick outfit check.

Cooking

All Globebus Performance 4x4 models are equipped with compressor fridges – electrically powered and highly energy-efficient. Compressor technology offers several advantages: the fridge reaches the desired cooling temperature in a short time. This temperature is then maintained reliably – even if the outdoor temperature rises or the vehicle is parked on uneven ground.

    The kitchen offers plenty of storage and shelf space, with a handy fold-out worktop extension for extra prep room. In the evening, the ambient lighting on the rear panel (option) creates a warm, inviting atmosphere.

    The optional compressor fridge also impresses with its generous 131-litre capacity (T 46 only). It also includes a 15-litre freezer – perfect for bringing home that authentic Italian gelato.
    An 83-litre compressor fridge with a 10-litre freezer compartment is fitted as standard.

    The kitchen in the T 16 is fully equipped with a two-burner gas hob with electric ignition, a sink with hot water system, and plenty of storage space – both in the kitchen unit and the overhead kitchen locker.

    A fold-out worktop extension provides extra prep space when needed. And thanks to the sturdy folding mechanism, you can cook with confidence – no need to worry about stability.

    The 83-litre compressor fridge with 10-litre freezer compartment is positioned at mid-height – making it easy to reach and open without disrupting the open, spacious feel of the interior.

    The surface above the fridge is the ideal spot for a coffee machine – a 230 V socket is conveniently located on the rear wall.

    The twin burners on the gas hob are spaced far enough apart to be used comfortably at the same time. The sturdy pan supports ensure stability, while electric ignition adds convenience.

    The Multiflex rail system is a flexible mounting solution for all your kitchen essentials. A range of practical accessories is available from Dethleffs Original Accessories – including a spice rack, tea towel rail, kitchen roll holder and much more.

  • Roof fan for quick air circulation

    A practical option for mobile chefs – the electric roof fan above the kitchen keeps the air fresh while you’re cooking up a feast. Depending on the setting, it either draws fresh air into the vehicle or extracts air. This means cooking odours can be vented directly outside, and on hot days, it creates a pleasant cooling breeze. Multiple speed settings are available – on the lowest setting, the fan is whisper-quiet, making it perfect for gentle overnight ventilation.

Sleeping

  • The key to a perfect night’s sleep

    Two comfy single beds (left: 2.02 m x 0.8 m, right: 1.92 m x 0.75 m) offer excellent – and most importantly, undisturbed – comfort while sleeping.

    The single beds can be quickly transformed into one large sleeping area spanning the full width of the vehicle – simply pull out the slatted frame between the beds and insert the extra cushion, which is supplied as standard. The resulting “double bed” can easily accommodate two adults and a child.

    Underneath the single beds, two illuminated wardrobes with clothes rails provide ample space for all your personal travel items. Blouses, shirts and jackets can be neatly hung on hangers – keeping them crease-free and ready to wear.

    Without question, the VW Crafter belongs in the premium class of base vehicles, impressing with its distinctive driving feel – smooth, assured, and yet powerfully responsive. State-of-the-art assistance systems and digital helpers play their part too: Hill Start Assist, electronic parking brake, Lane Keep Assist, blind spot warning (right), Traffic Sign Assist and much more all come as standard.

  • Air suspension on the rear axle
    The air pressure – and with it, the damping performance and ground clearance – can be individually adjusted for the left and right rear wheels, depending on the load or road conditions.

    The air suspension for the rear axle comes as standard on the T 46 and is available as an option on the T 16.
  • 70 cm-wide habitation door
    A practical highlight inspired by everyday use: how often do you enter and exit the vehicle each day? The 70 cm-wide habitation door makes this effortless – even when carrying luggage.
    A fly-screen blind is installed as standard, while the window in the door and the central locking system are available as optional extras.

    … with access from both sides and new, smooth-running twist/quick-release latches. Practical storage compartments keep things neat and tidy.
    Up to three wall-mounted storage pouches can be added on request, providing extra space for your essentials. They can be loaded up at home and simply hooked into place once on board.
